A Story of a Family’s Struggle with Laminitis eased by Soft-Ride Comfort Boots.
I just had to tell you this, I am so grateful to your company.
I just purchased Soft-Ride Comfort boots for a chronically Laminetic horse of mine. I have tried everything for her, from cut out garden pads, Easy boots, frog pads and two inch styrofoam pads. You name it, I duck taped it to my mare's feet trying to make her more comfortable for two years.
Since her laminetic episodes, Winny has been mostly confined to a stall and has her way of slowly moving around enough to get her food and water. Everyday was painful not only for her but for our family watching her and trying to make her comfortable. This last bout of Laminitis and a hoof abscess had me just days away from taking her to the Horse clinic where I work part time to be put down.
I was searching the web and came across your web site and decided to call. Debbie was wonderful to work with as she helped me get the right measurement for the boots and answered all my questions. I ordered, and the boots were delivered three days later.
I have to say, I was skeptical at first. I thought let’s just see what happens when I put them on. I applied the boots and stood back to watch what would happen.
To my amazement, Winnie was instantly more comfortable. She actually strided over to her window. I had to keep watching. Next, instead of the shuffle to get around, she strided one foot in front of the other to get to her water bucket.
Now with tears in my eyes and a very grateful heart I had to call your rep, Debbie to let her know the difference the boots had made in just the couple hours after I had put them on. You see Winnie has not strided anywhere for the last two years.
When my husband came home, I told him of the day's events with the Soft- Ride Boots on our mare. He too became teary eyed and had to go to the barn immediately to see the change. Both of us just watched her in amazement as she freely moved around her stall like there was nothing wrong.
My daughter came home from work and I told her to go take a look at Winnie's new boots. She went to the barn and came back about 15 minutes later. She too was shocked at the difference the Soft-Ride Boots made. She stated "Mom, not only does Winnie have her feet back, she also has her care free/loveable disposition", one that we have not seen for a long time.
I have to say Soft-Ride Comfort Boots saved this mare’s life. Three weeks later, I cannot close her stall door quick enough, she is constantly trying to sneak out to talk to her other barn buddies. I can't wait until the day she can just be turned out with the rest of them.
Just to see her move so comfortably has made a huge difference not only in her life but also in my family's. I am so grateful for such a wonderful product. I would recommend them to any horse facility/person dealing with Laminitis issues.
I am so impressed with this product I am going to bring a pair of the Soft-Ride Comfort boots in to our world renowned lameness specialist at the horse clinic for him to see. I know once he sees the product and hears what it has done for our horse, he will be amazed. Once again I cannot thank you enough for your superior product. You took a very big sadness we had carried for this mare and made it a joy once again to have her around.
Sincerely,

"In the modern world of horsemanship and western riding, we're really seeing an increased push for longevity in horses. One way to achieve this is to alleviate travel-related stress for show horses.
I first tried out the Soft-Ride Equine Comfort Boots on our way to NRHA Futurity, one of our longest trips of the year. We traveled from North Carolina to Oklahoma, more than 1200 miles one way. Normally, when we make such a long haul the horses need some time to recover. In the past they've been slightly sore, and not ready to go work right away. However, with the Soft-Ride Equine Comfort Boots the horses stepped off the trailer fresher, with more energy.

"Hello Debbie,
I wanted to tell you Uno's "tennis shoes" are working great. She seems to enjoy them while hauling. I have also left them on her several places where the rocks were bad etc."
Thanks,

"I have used Soft-Ride boots for treating and preventing laminitis for the past 2 years and I am very excited about the results. No shoe is perfect for all laminitic horses but thus far "Soft-Ride" has given me the most consistent results.
I use them in severe orthopedic cases for horses that are not weight bearing on the injured limb
and are prone to contra-lateral limb laminitis. In several horses that have hardly put any weight
on the limb the use of “Soft-Ride” boots on the
limb seemed to provide an excellent prophylactic measure. I have also used them in post-operative colics that have been endotoxemic or had small intestinal surgery. I use the boots often to prevent endotoxemia induced laminitis. I believe the boots are a useful addition to our slim armoratum
against this devastating disease and I recommend using them in these cases. I have also used the "Soft-Ride" boots on several horses that had
acute laminitis and it provided significant and immediate relief."

"We used Soft-Ride boots this year on at least ten of our stallions to safely travel
them from Ireland to Australia and Ireland to New Zealand. I found the boots to be very effective on the stallions. The trip took about 38 hours, there was no need to readjust the boots the whole trip.
Furthermore the construction, of the Soft-Ride boots fitted the stallion’s hooves very well. The removable gel pads and the slight rolled toe on the gripped base of the boot worked great.
In my opinion the stallions wore the boots very well; they were comfortable in them and seemed to travel better and quieter in them. I will be recommending them to be fitted to all our stallions for future travel by road and by air."
